In 2013 the NSW police highway patrol welcomed a tweaked HSV Gen-F GTS into its fleet. Although the car could easily outrun a number of would-be criminals, it was used for demonstration purposes only to connect with younger generation drivers and promote road safety. The police car is tuned to develop nearer to 500kW, making it quite easily Australia’s most powerful police car.
