Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the release for the original XR GT, Ford Australia released the EL model GT in very limited numbers. It came equipped with a distinctive slotted front grill & purpose-built body kit. Improvements to suspension & brakes were also made to handle the increased horsepower under the bonnet.

Very limited only 300 produced.
