The TD range of Ford Cortina brought many refinements inside & out over the previous TC model range. The XLE or Xtra Luxury Edition also gained rectangular headlights & new wheel covers. Ford Australia continued with its own locally built in line 6 cylinder engines which endowed the mid-sized car with class leading performance.
