1950 Ford V8 CUSTOM “Single Spinner”

In 1950 Ford Australia released a new lower wide body big sedan to compete with the then recently released Holden. The Ford custom V8 DeLuxe Sedan sold for the sum of 675 pounds (A$1350).

In 2013, Trax collectors were invited to join the “Select Panel” to vote on which new model would be added to the prestigious 1:43 scale “Select” range. Over 400 collectors replied to a detailed questionnaire asking them to vote and offer model selections. A second survey narrowed the field down to the Ford Custom “Single Spinner” closely followed by the Aussie built 1946 Chevrolet Ute.
