Holden was the first Australian manufacturer to recognise this trend and produce a vehicle the HJ Sandman van that provided a ready-made platform for such modifications plus all the advantages of owing a brand-new vehicle.Not only was the tail tent option made available to Torana Hatch buyers, but it was also sold as a camping accessory for Sandman Panel Van buyers.

Only 4000 produced of this model in 2003.
