With an improved 6-cylinder engine, a big load space, new electric windshield wipers and a cabin-controlled bonnet lock, the EK ute delivered the goods. Besides it’s a Holden. Over 140,000 Australians had bought a Holden ute even before the EK was launched! The Trax EK utes have recaptured all the key features of the originals, including the distinctive wide grille, coloured load tray and the round sixties-style rear vision mirror.

For this one, Trax referred to Repco’s archive of company photographs to reproduce the company logo, signage and even a 3-D tampo of the famous ‘Hi Power’ muffler. Fitted to the timber effect cargo tray is a scaled muffler.
